InterCHARM MILANO 2011: many new ideas and projects planned for the second edition of the trade show dedicated to Beauty double the number of buyer delegations, a completely new Packaging project and the World Hairdressing Championships to make the Milan event even more special
InterCHARM MILANO is growing. After a positive launch in 2010 – which registered 19.846 professional visitors and 243 exhibitors – the trade show, organized by Reed Exhibitions Italia and dedicated to the world of professional Beauty as a whole, is getting ready for an edition which will further develop each individual sector through projects, events and initiatives that take into account market trends.
“The ability to listen to the market and the flexibility to be able to meet the needs of our clients year after year is a strong point of which we are very proud” says Maurizio Morra, InterCHARM MILANO Exhibition Development. “And we are confident when we say that we are developing with the market. Our 2011 project means working with companies on the one hand and meeting the desires expressed by visitors on the other”.
There are many new ideas, the first of which is the creation of iCMPack. Business-oriented: iCMPack, the trade show dedicated exclusively to companies in the cosmetics packaging, raw materials, machinery and technology industries with separate entry from the rest of the trade show and reserved space inside Hall #2 to greet key players in the sector in a high profile working environment.
Special opening on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th, two working days to meet the requirements of all operators involved in the production of cosmetics who wish to concentrate their appointments and engagements in the working week.
The Perfumery & Cosmetics area in Hall #2, will benefit from promotion aimed at attracting buyers, distributors and wholesalers to the trade show to create and develop the right business opportunities.

“Both in Packaging and Perfumery special projects are being developed which, with the support of strong partners, will bring added value to two sectors which have very specific requirements both in terms of visitors and investment return.” says Maurizio Morra.
Centrally located with respect to the Perfumery and Packaging areas, the Buyer&Vip Lounge – which a year ago too had hosted hundreds of company-buyer meetings – will this year welcome face-to-face meetings between exhibitors and potential clients in double the space.
“Beauty, Perfumery, Cosmetics, Hairdressing, Nails: we are developing ad hoc projects for each sector, using the best, most successful ideas from 2010 and creating new ones to attract clients and provide companies not just with traditional exhibiting space but with many different opportunities to enhance their products and reach the right target” adds Maurizio Morra.
Hall #1 is dedicated to the world of Beauty Salons and Nails, two sectors which require constant professional updating to keep abreast of the latest trends and immediately recognize changes and new targets. This area is for big brand names therefore – many of whom have already confirmed their presence again this year – side by side with new names looking to emerge and meet the public face to face, not the non-selective kind but the decision-making buyers themselves.

The InterCHARM MILANO Beauty Congress is back and – after the success in 2010 which saw 1.000 attendees at the meetings – it will be proposing three days of content, expertise, demonstrations and focus factors to make a congress that will bring to the trade show international experts and concrete ideas to promote business development.
New focus this year will also be placed on Nails, with sessions dedicated to themes of major interest. The official media partner of the Congress is Cabines Italia.
The Nail world will be hosting the 3rd Italian NailArt Trophy and the 5th Italian Nail Design Championships. Organized by Nailpro magazine, the 2010 championships saw 60 competitors challenge one another, giving proof of their ability and creativity in nail decoration and reconstruction.
The international spotlight will focus on the Hair world, which thanks to the agreement signed between Reed Exhibitions and OMC Organisation Mondiale Coiffure, will exclusively host the first edition of the Individual World Hairdressing Championships.
OMC is the largest global hair styling organization representing hairstyling federations from over 60 member countries and over 500,000 professional salon owners worldwide. The Organization finds its maximum expression in running contests; world championships every two years, championships in several continents and international contests.
Solly Cohen, Reed Exhibitions Advisor for Italy, emphasizes the value of the partnership: “The middle-term agreement with OMC means an excellent growth opportunity for InterCHARM MILANO and endorses the first-rate image the exhibition has already acquired internationally”.
There will be a large area set aside to welcome contestants from all over the world, which will also allow the thousands of expected visitors to watch the 2 day run of non-stop competitions.
Hall 4 will be dedicated entirely to the Hair sector, with exhibition stands, space for direct sales to professional operators and live shows, not just the Championships but the grand spectacle of the Milano Hair Show which – with an increased capacity of 1000 compared to last year – will present shows staged by major Hairdressing companies, with their own Hair stylists introducing the new trends for the season.

An integral part of the InterCHARM MILANO program are specific ideas targeted to promote the development of new business relationships with countries of particular interest. The “Meet the Buyer” program will concentrate on key geographical areas for the sector which are North America, the Middle East, South East Asia, South Africa and Northern Europe.
The promotion of InterCHARM MILANO 2011 is already underway. Traditional media, web activities and above all, direct marketing using a database of over 130.000 contacts. Many co-marketing operations are being planned in collaboration with National and International partners in order to reach our targets.
Organized by Reed Exhibitions Italy, InterCHARM MILANO will avail itself of the experience of the Reed Group which, with over 440 events in 36 countries to its name, is a world leader in trade show and events organization. They cover Beauty and Cosmetics exhibitions as well, namely InterCHARM Moscow, organized by Reed Exhibitions Russia – a benchmark event for Eastern Europe - and in-cosmetics, the international event dedicated to raw materials and ingredients for the cosmetics sector, which incidentally will be held in Milan in 2011.
