InterCHARM team has unveiled a series of research reports focusing on international brand success stories in Russia to motivate other companies to consider Russia as a potential for geographic expansion.
A report on the success of Swiss brands in Russia has been followed by a second report entitled “A scent of British Glamour”. Six main distributors who have represented the British brands in Russia for more than five years were asked a series of questions about the way British brands such as Molton Brown, Lush and The Body Shop are conquering the Russian market. The questions included:
• What are the current market conditions?
• What effect has the economic crisis had on your business in Russia?
• What is the portrait of a typical Russian consumer?
Divided into two main parts – informational and practical – the feature describes the way British brands feel about being a part of the Russian cosmetics and perfumery market, with a view to inspiring newcomers and building up their confidence.
Regular networking, industry experience and access to professional sources enabled the InterCHARM Moscow team to undertake the necessary market research and secure interviews with experts and bellwethers.
Further research reports are planned for the French, Italian, Israeli and Spanish markets.
